THE NOTORIOUS MSG - Chinatown's very own gangstah's!

They worked hard in the kitchens.

They dreamed of rap superstardom.

Blasting out of the streets of Chinatown, the gates of Hell have opened and The Notorious MSG have been reborn with a vengeance. Servin' up deep-fried beats straight from the Chinese ghetto, they will not be stopped until they achieve complete musical destruction.

The Earth will tremble. The winds will roar. The chopsticks will shatter.

God help us all.

Once again I found this band on myspace and I couldn't help but tell you about them! No, they don't sing in chinese, or at least I don't think so. (I have yet to see them live) They have been written up by Time Out NY, MTV China, Gawker, and The World BBC News. You can see their live broadcast interview here: BBC Interview

They are performing in NYC at Knitting Factory for a festival called ISFEST III presented by Karaterice.com. Never heard of the site before but it looks like it's all about asian bands!!! OMG! I'll be reading more on this site tonight:) In the mean time check out their song "Chinatown Hustler", it's uh, well, just bad-to-dah-duck-bone...
